Brief:"I want you to explore the alphabet in abstract form..Choose a font from the list given and only working in black and white examine the letter form's abstract spaces, one letter at a time. Use masks, grids, cropping rotating and scaling.

Using Bondoni, I examined negative and positive space, creating abstract shapes using the chosen typeface. 

Scale-(Shannen)

Brief: "For this project we begin looking at typographic compositions.Working with a list of paired words, you are to use changes in scale as well as placement on the page to convey their meanings. Contrasts in scale can imply motion or depth as well as express different importance. Again use only back and white and the font Helvetica.
